ASSETS TRUST & CORPORATE SERVICES, INC. was incorporated in 1980 under the Corporations Laws of the Republic of Panama and obtained a License to engage in the trust business in 1987, issued by the National Banking Commission (currently, the Superintendency of Banks). It was acquired in 1998 by the partners of the Law firm of PATTON, MORENO & ASVAT with the view of broadening its offer of services to its select clientele, locally and abroad, forming part of the group of companies leaded by the firm to this date. Since its licensing as a trust company, ASSETS TRUST has accumulated almost 20 years of experience in the field, being one of the first corporations devoted exclusively to the trust business in the country.
ASSETS TRUST is a corporation subject to the applicable legal provisions of the trust business in Panama and conducts its business under the supervision of the Superintendency of Banks. In addition to the guarantee required by Law to all trust companies, ASSETS TRUST has civil responsibility and fidelity insurance policies, in order to ratify its commitment and responsibility towards its clients. The company undergoes external auditing every year, conducted by top Certified Public Accountants, regarding its own accounting and financial statements and practices, as well as for the assets held in trust for its clients.
ASSETS TRUST does not belong to a banking group, allowing the company to offer its clients the advantage of handling their business –either personal or corporate- in an atmosphere of professionalism and confidentiality, but with a personalized treatment that would be hardly obtained from other competitors.
